HOME TEXTILES:

Most of our items are made of/contain vintage silk. Because silk doesn't withstand water treatment or agitation of drying well those items should be dry cleaned (and sometimes hand washed), as per listing description.

It is important to note that although the vintage fabrics have been carefully unstitched, dry cleaned and ironed, there could be minor creases and discoloration (darker or lighter permanent stains) on the silk which are hardly noticeable and can be reasonably tolerated in a vintage item.

Cushion inserts are not provided.

VINTAGE ITEMS:

Vintage items will usually have some signs of age (tarnished, rusted etc.) even if they are unused. We inspect and clean our items thoroughly except where signs of ageing give special charm and character to the item, and describe their condition as accurately as we can in the item description and photos.

VINTAGE LIGHTING: All Vintage lighting is sold "as is", is used, comes without any guarantees or warranties, and must be checked/ installed/ certified by a qualified electrician prior to use for your safety.

Shipping

We use two carriers, a courier company DHL Express and Irish postal service (An Post). Shipping method is mentioned in each listing's description. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions!

AN POST (Irish Post) is economic and sometimes slow method. Most packages reach most worldwide destination in 4 - 14 days but An Post claim that it can take up to 45 days due to various delays (at customs for example). Please be patient if your item takes longer than usual. An Post packages may be shipped with or without tracking. Please check individual listings for details. If a listing ships without tracking you can purchase tracking/insurance via shipping upgrade, available in your shopping cart.
Expedited shipping by courier, DHL, is also available via shipping upgrade.

An Post tracking may not update for up to 48 hours after each scan. Tracking is not supported by tracking systems within Canada and Australia. An post does not allow any address corrections at any stage. Please check your address during checkout.

DHL EXPRESS is a courier service. Fully traceable and trackable. Shipping Prices shown for DHL are the most economical and sometimes slower options. Within the EU we ship via economy surface service. Faster, air service is available upon request.
Generally delivery takes 1-6 working days to most main cities of the world. Our shipping rates show delivery to main cities as standard. You will be informed of the scheduled delivery date once the package is shipped /label is created.

Contact TELEPHONE number and/or email address are required by DHL for delivery progress and updates. Your contact details will only be used for the delivery of your order.

DHL do not deliver to PO Boxes. If you have a PO Box address please contact us for an alternative shipping quote.

Certain DHL services attract a surcharge and must be covered by the buyer:
-Change of address after shipping label has been created - €10+fees.
- Fuel surcharge (ca. €20+fee s) for deliveries to remote areas.
- Brokerage fee - a fee that DHL collects when import taxes/customs duties are payable upon import of goods and DHL pays those on your behalf. You may receive an invoice for this service after you receive your package.

DHL makes 2 delivery attempts, after that packages are held at a delivery centre for 1 week and then returned to sender as undeliverable. Return shipping equals the original shipping cost and must be covered by the buyer.

We ship every day, Monday to Friday, 1-2 working days after payment is received. Indicated transit times are on top of order processing times.

Shipping costs include the actual cost of shipping plus Paypal/ Etsy commission and VAT where applicable; we may charge ca. €1-2 on top of that to pack larger/fragile items.

-Direct delivery. Both Irish Post and DHL Express deliver to buyer's address, not a specific recipient. When signature is required the package will be handed to an adult who answers/ is available to sign for it. DHL provides a Direct Delivery service (to make sure a specified recipient signs for the package), at €40 on top of normal shipping cost.
-Delivery on a Saturday by DHL costs €40 extra.
The above surcharges must be paid at the time of booking a courier.
We will charge an additional 3-5% on top of all payments to cover payment processing fees by credit card or Paypal.

IMPORTANT: We post to your Etsy address or Paypal address only. We cannot be held responsible for packages which are undeliverable or not collected by the Buyer from their post office /delivery centre for any reason. No refunds will be issued for cost of goods or postage paid for items returned to back to us as undelivereable and damaged. Refund may be issued if we receive the goods returned to us in the original condition.

REFUNDS. Please contact us immediately if you wish to return your order but no later than 3 calendar days after receipt. After receiving our approval for a return, any specific instructions and a return address, ship the item back within 2 weeks from receiving it. The item must be unused and in original packaging. The buyer pays for return post. Refund of the price of the item will be issued upon its arrival to us.

PACKAGING. We pack items carefully and securely for their safety in transit. We use appropriate recycled packaging when possible to keep cost of shipping down.

COMBINED SHIPPING. In certain instances (especially if you are purchasing more than 2 items) shipping cost needs to be adjusted (either up or down) post-sale. This is because it is impossible to envisage all combinations of items and their weights. A lightweight item may increase the total package weight to bring it into the next weight bracket which means it will cost more, sometimes significantly.
